ATTENTION ALL PRINTMAKERS, PAINTERS,
DIGITAL MEDIA, ILLUSTRATION, SCULPTURE…… ALL ART STUDENTS…. ALL ARTISTS!!!
I am a local artist interested in opening my own art supply store. Think of it as a “Mom ‘N’ Pop’s”
place. I’d like my “target market” to be you, the art students, as well as local artists, grade school art
teachers, high school art teachers. Most importantly, I want to have those supplies that you just can’t find available.
Now I know there is some major competition in this market, specifically a certain Supply store that will remain nameless.
Regardless, I have chosen a location around the Tipp Hill area.
If you could take the time to answer a few questions
for me, I would truly appreciate it. My main concern is the availability of art supplies in general, more specifically your
medium of choice.
Questions: #1 What medium do you mostly work with?
#2 Is that
product(s) readily available to you?
#3 Do you consider your product fairly priced, even after your student discount?
#4 If the price was right, would you buy in bulk?
#5 Is there a specific product you cannot find and it’s
necessity for your type of work? For example, printmakers: Can you find etching plates? digital media: Can you find
high quality paper?
#6 Are there any art supplies you wish were available, even if its not your main medium?

Any other comments or questions, please feel free to add.
